Picked up a couple 12/4 slabs a while back that were rough cut but looked to have that kind of purplish hue to them that goes well with the usual leathery browns of claro. Turned out to be very nice working, dense wood and I got a run of these sets. The figure is good, if a bit broken here and there, and there is a little compression figure on some of these, where the grain arcs inward at one end and the figure angles and gets a little tighter, combined with some beautiful purples that contrast with the creamy color of sapwood at the bookmatch on some of these sets. Very beautiful!
