Further up from the butt end of the primary log the grain, color, and figure start to level out and here we have a few examples of very clean straight grain and figure. The sapwood is easily ripped or tapered into a narrower presentation or perhaps removed altogether for a smaller body guitar. Highly controlled, consistant, and regular figure throughout.
