I've been cutting a pretty good run of 8x8 figured redwood blocks, and getting some really nice tops, including these big enough for most electric bass bodies. The blocks are chainsaw cut from highly figured salvaged stumps, some of which are a good 6ft tall. These are old growth and the figure is very strong!....there is a pitch pocket located on the backside only of the LH plate in the waist area and is outside the typical Fender p-bass pattern.
